[ Oh, look! Is that Nero, walking down a street in Viridian City and minding his own business? Not for long!
Er, well, he'll still be Nero, and he'll still be minding his own business, but he won't be walking down the street for long. His progress is suddenly impeded by the low swoop and earth-shaking landing of a Dragonite, who beams at him. In the Dragonite's arms is a bundle wrapped in white terrycloth, suspiciously like an inn towel. He presents it to Nero with great ceremony. ]
[ He's back from his latest victory, over Blue, and feeling too bad about it. He's about to grab some celebratory food, in fact, when he's intercepted by what is unmistakably Miyuki's Dragonite, Haku-bro. He covers his head on instant, only to quickly recognize he isn't in any danger. Warily, he steps back a bit, peering up at Haku looming over him.]
[ Haku-bro makes a quiet keening noise in his throat, but he doesn't seem displeased. He likes to be able to help out wherever he can, and he doesn't mind the long flights.
As he holds out the bundle in careful claws, the towel falls away enough to reveal an egg, a little on the large side and adorned with a scribble of marker.
The handwriting is terribly messy, but Nero might be able to make it out. ]
[ There's a chuckle (decidedly fond, since she isn't here to hear him) as he takes the egg and the towel it came in, cradling it in the crook of one arm. With his free hand, he swings his bag over and goes through its contents. Having found a pen and a worn out receipt for take-out, he sets the egg delicately down. With a muttered apology, he uses Haku's miscular bulk to write.]
Not making any promises.
[His handwriting is such a spartan, old-fashioned cursive that Miyuki might need an interpreter; he's not going easy on her. He hands the message to Haku, and bends to pick up the egg.]
[ Haku takes the slip of paper delicately in one claw and waves the other to say goodbye. He turns and jumps, taking flight with little effort despite his size. He'll land outside the city again and take a rest before he flies back to Miyuki, but you can bet he'll keep that note safe.
... And Miyuki probably will need an interpreter, and will feel the need to inform Nero that he writes 'like a girl' the next time they speak. Kids these days. ]
